Working with Images

Information from Ginny

Example 1

Images can be "wrapped" in PBWorks.  There are really two methods depending on how exacting you want to be.

After uploading this image and resizing it in the editor, I put my cursor over the image (still in edit mode) and right click.  Select properties.  Choose Align "left".  I also adjust the hspace and vspace (from 0 to 5)  to add more horizontal and vertical space so the text isn't squashed against the picture which runs almost to the edge of the image.

As I keep adding text, it continues to wrap around on a left aligned image until the bottom of the image.  When I add this sentence it will continue to wrap around the image because about half of the line is still above the bottom of the image.  However, this sentence will go all the way to the beginning of the line completing the wrap around.

Example 2

Let's say that I want to do the same thing as the example above except that I want the second paragraph to be below (not wrapped around the image).  To do that I could add empty lines after the first paragraph until the second paragraph started below (easy, but also messy from an web design perspective) or I could create a table 1 row by 2 column table as seen below.

I've left the table border checked, but usually, you would want it unchecked.

(I copied the first paragraph into this cell in the table.  I also had to add a line just above the image due to a bug in the table code in order to get this paragraph to be at the top of the cell.  There is HTML code to make everything work out okay, but the work around usually is good enough.)

(This is the second paragraph and copied and pasted just below the table.)
