Welcome to my Greek Myths page, I will blog about all my knowledge, about Greek Myths.

My first lesson/story will be about my favorite of all, the story of the earth being made, and how the Greek people told it, back then!

When The Earth Was Made,

This is a true story, from when earth was made, told by the Greeks, an ancient population of people.

In the beginning, there was matter, but the matter was not in form and there was only darkness. This was called chaos. Then the gods came, Gaia, the earth, and Uranus, the sky! They fell in love, and had many kids. But Uranus thought his kids were ugly, and unusual, so he sent them to the bottom of a pit, the farthest down, and the darkest pit on earth! The pit was called Tartarean. But Gaia was mad, she loved her kids and did not want them to suffer. So she gave on of her youngest a weapon, he,  Cronus was one not in the pit. But, he was stronger than his father, Uranus. He went up to Uranus's palace, and, killed him. Then he, Cronus, became the ruler. He married Rhea, his sister. Then... he had a child. But he new, just like he had his father, his child would be stronger,  AND would dethrone him. So know, every time he and his wife, Rhea had a child... he would swallow them! But Rhea became tired of watching her children be swallowed, so she, saved one of her sons, Zeus. And gave Cronus, a rock wrapped in a blanket. Zeus, was then raised in a cave, with a magical dear, that would take care of him, along with a women. And when the time came, Zeus was ready to fight his father. So, his mother, Rhea, prepared a special drink that made Cronus, throw up all of his kids, that were now fully grown.

Then, was the time to strike! Zeus and his sibling fought Cronus, and won... then Zeus, the leader of his siblings, Demeter, Hades, Hera, Hestia, and Poseidon, became king!

The story of Pandora's Box 

 A long time ago, when the gods lived on Mount Olympus, Zues sat looking down at earth and thinking, "some thing is missing! Some thing is wrong! What could it be?"  So he called upon Epimetheus and Prometheus. They were brothers. He told them "Epimetheus, Prometheus, I look down at earth and see that every day is the same, the sun come's up, the tide goes down, the sun goes down, the tide goes down, the moon goes up! I need you both to go down to earth and make some thing new!" So Epimetheus and Prometheus went down to earth to create some thing new, but while Epimetheus was adding and creating new things
