9/19/11 today is the day of our ASCD visit.  We are having visitors to our school and I do not know if we were  supposed to introduce them.  I am not sure. I guess the meeting will tell. 

9/15/11 Today, the school is having open house.  I am going to meet the parents of many of my children.  It is going to be fun. 

08/20/09 The above black spot is an animoto of nudibranchs.  It is pretty cool but not available if you are on a school computer.  You should try again at home.  I wanted to blog a little about my garden.  I have waited until this time in my life to try gardening and I must say, I wish I had done this earlier.  My garden was a lot of fun this summer.  I planted mint, basil, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and some other stuff that did not grow.  It was very relaxing to rise in the morning, water the plants and watch them grow.  That was a bright spot.  I also fulfilled a lifetime dream by visiting Australia.  Lots of natural beauty. 

08/21/09  Taking a sailing class today.  It looks like it will be a great day for it.  I am excited, this should be fun and I will learn something.  I like learning.  My daughter is trying out for the tennis team today.  I hope she gets what she wants and has fun getting itl  My son doesnlt feel well.  I hope he gets better.

 this year and maybe do a little poster maintenance.  Either today or tomorrow, I am going to have to set up a bulletin board.  Jill made the tennis team.  I recieved a package from Janice Vancleave today with stuff for my classroom inside it.  She is going to be alot of fun this year.

08/26/09 Today was my first day back at school.  I spent most of it in meetings and then had soccer practice with Yoko 3.  Lots of nice people at school this year.  A new gifted ed teacher I met and I want to meet a girl from Fort Walton Beach because my sister lives close to there.  I wrote my other sister on email and we talked about speaking to our mom who died last year around Christmas.  I still miss her and I like to talk to her when I can or when I need to.  I like to think she hears me. I miss my mom.

08/25/09  Today is the day that class lists are posted.  The children are allowed to visit from 1300-1400. 

 Today, Mr. Wiki, You may get to meet some of the children that are going to use you all year long.  That is kind of exciting.!  It is Mr. Wiki meets the children day! 

08/27/09 Yesterday was Ms. Parker's birthday.  We had a good time at home together as a family, then went to Chili's for dinner.  A large group of us.  It was nice and I think she had fun on her birthday.  Tomorrow is the first day of school and I have a cold.  I hope I can be positive all day long.  It is exciting. I wish I felt better.

09/28/09  Today, I showed the class how to make a journal entry.  I think most of them learned and will make their entries.  We went to poetry alive this morning and saw a great show.  This afternoon we will work on our own poems.   

10/24/09 Just came back from the Haunted house!  Verry, Very scary and exciting.  I was scared!  And I knew most of the tricks.  Everyone involved did a great job!  I got to see Bobby, Allen  and Yontare there also.  WE waited 1 and 1/2 hours in the rain to get in though.  That part was less than fun.

12/14/09 The UEFA and FIFA World cup Soccer matches will be held this year in South Africa.  That is the first time they have ever been held on the African continent.  I am excited about watching them next summer.  I would also like to visit a place in Africa, I think it is called the great rift valley where the oldest fossil remains of humans have been found.  It is close to Victoria Falls.

12/30/01 Going to do the polar bear plunge on New Year's Day!  Maybe, I'll wear my t-shirt!  My holidays have been great!  Unlike Tiger Woods, looking forward to the super bowl , Go Cowboys, We made the playoffs yay!

01/04/10  Check this out! Video from my old hometown in Spain! Moron De La Frontera knows how to put on a party!  School won't let you play youtube though,, You 'll have to watch it at home!

03/05/10.  So sad about the recent earthquakes in Chile and Haiti.  I hope both places recover soon.  I have a friend in chile who's son was out ot touch for awhile, Scary!  I saw a video of the earthquake in okinawa and that was very scary.  I hope the world calms down soon.
