Abe Lincoln was born in Feb 12, 1809 in Kentucky and he was named after his grandfather and then when he grew up he got married to marry Todd, then he move to Indiana. They had 4 sons and their names were Robert, Edward, William, and Thomas.                            By Brice

 

 

Early life

Abraham Lincoln was born on Febuary 12 , 1809 . He was born in the wonderful Kentucky. When Abe was just a boy he moved you Indiana , Kentucky. His family was poor , had not so much money , had to work for everything.That is Abe's early life.

Abe Lincoln’s presidential life

Abe was elected president in 1860. Abe became President on March 4 1861. He was elected again in1864 he won this election. When Lincoln was elected president there were many problems like slavery and how the country would run. He thought slavery was wrong he helped make slavery end. The northern and southern states were at war while Abe was president it was called the civil war. It began on 1861 April 12. On January first 1863 Lincoln signed a paper that said enslaved people in the south had freedom. The war finally ended on April9 1865. One night in 1865 Abe was in Washington D.C. at Ford’s Theater he was shot by John Wilkes booth.
